About

“Shelftanks” is some kind of another blog, devoted to hobbies. And my hobby is there, on the shelf, where outdated and lost in history military machines live their second life.

Scale modelling is my hobby since 2006, when I got a Revell Panzer IV 1/72 from my sweetheart. Poor she – if only knew that this present would light a fire, whose flames are still burning wildly years later…

After building some scale model kits from different type – an aircraft, submarine, truck and tank, I found the greatest passion in two areasΒ – Luft’46 and WW2 Bulgarian military vechicles and aircraft.

So, here in “Shelftanks” I will present you my stuff, not aiming to pretend being a great modeller but having fun as that’s modelling all about.

    Hi.
I have a few questions about Bulgarian planes and tanks. i hope you can help me or recommend a Bulgarian modeller forum where I can ask.
    1) I love a Bulgarian roundels from 1937-41 period. I even bought a decals from Blue rider decals with them. Unfortunately I haven’t found a photos of with Bf 109E or Avia B-71 with them.
    2) I would love to make a Bulgarian Hotchkiss (RPM 1/72 scale) tank, but also I haven’t found information about their service in Bulgaria.

Thank you very much in advance.

    Best regards

    Krzysztof

Hello and sorry for the late answer! I could help you with pictures of Me-109 with roundels, if you give me your e-mail – I could send you some. B-71 have never been with roundels. Hotchkiss is one of my future projects too – unfortunately, few is known about how this tank looked like.

      Best regards, Georgi

Oh it’s nothing bad about late answer,
    My email: botanix18@interia.eu
About Hotchkiss, I know that, even on decal sheet made by Bison Decals there is nothing about or in any book which I have access.

I’m really grateful for your help πŸ˜‰

    Best regards

    Krzysztof
